Great news, Spartans -- 343 Studios' Frank O'Connor has announced that Dark Horse comics is planning on publishing an all-new Halo comic series, set to release later this year. The series will be titled Halo: Escalation.

Halo: Escalation will spin off of events from Halo 4, beginning when the UNSC Infinity is assigned to escort a ship carrying the Arbiter and the Brutes and ends up fending off an offense meant to disrupt the negotiations. The comic is set to feature Captain Lasky, Spartan Palmer, and additional series favorites. If you're looking for some new canon, look no further than Halo: Escalation -- written by Halo 4 lead writer Chris Schlerf, I'm sure the narrative will be a real fan-pleaser. Superheroes | TV and Film

Welcome back to part 2 of Wikia's Comic-Con Wrap-Up Spectacular! Though Comic-Con started (as the name would suggest) as an event centered exclusively on the world of comics, its scope has expanded drastically since its inception in 1970 to encompass the likes of video games, television, movies, and more. Marvel Studios recently screened it's new One Shot short film, Agent Carter, at Comic-Con 2013, followed by a filmmaker/talent Q&A Panel.

Picking up where the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER left off, “Agent Carter” tracks British operative Peggy Carter (THE FIRST AVENGER’s Hayley Atwell) as she joins the nascent S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. As she searches for the enigmatic “Zodiac” key, Agent Carter also battles her sexist, bureaucratic boss, Agent Flynn (THE WEST WING’s Bradley Whitford), who thinks women have no place in the secret-agent business. Check out the short for yourself by picking up Iron Man 3 on Blu-Ray or DVD on September 24th.
