Partying with Dexter

In order to adequately cover the Dexter panel, Eric Moro and the Wikia crew sent myself and my plus one over to the Thursday night after-panel party!

I was so glad to be able to attend the panel first, as it gave me a chance to see not only what they had worked out for the Dexter 2 video game, but also what the head writers look like and 5 full minutes of Season 7!

Recognizing the writers was ultimately very helpful as I was able to pull them aside at the party and thank them for their wonderful work. Incidentally, ALL of the writers were standing together, and I was able to thank them all together at the same time. Truly an incredibly talented and imaginative group of people, and I can't wait to see what they cook up this time!

The party itself was so much fun, we were torn between attending it and the Wikia party, which were happening at the exact same time. The only thing giving the Wikia party the edge was the amount of super-cool people we actually knew and could talk to.

While at Dexter's, we enjoyed Dexter-themed drinks, beautiful Dexter art created with the tools of Dexter Morgan's trade, knives, syringes, and black trash bags!

Celebrities were in attendance as well. We were able to meet Candice Bailey from G4'S attack of the show, Yvonne Strahovski from Chuck (who will be on Dex in Season 7), and even Michael C. Hall himself! There was even rumors of Ellen Degeneris making an appearance (though we didn't see her).

Gift bags were included as people left, though they quickly ran out. Dexter action figures, t-shirts, and a Blu-Ray copy of Season 6 were all included! (Season 6 isn't out for purchase yet). Can't wait to see it again in HD!

It was a great time and we only wished we could have spent more time there.
